To solve the mystery picture, your students must first answer the subtraction problems in a set. Then, they can use their answers to color the squares on the grid and uncover the hidden images.

There are three versions of this packet, with each having a different set of subtraction problems. You will receive all the color-by-number files, so just print the pages that you want your students to answer.
Your kids will be asked to solve for the difference of two numbers, or to find the missing number in the equation (missing minuend, subtrahend, or difference). If answered correctly, they can uncover these pictures related to Valentine's Day.
